<p>According to WHO data, 60-90% of school children throughout the world experience dental caries. Factors that influence dental caries are the physical environment, namely water as a source of daily drinking water. Consuming drinking water with a low pH will increase the risk of dental caries. This study aims to find out the description of the pH of drinking water and dental caries in elementary school children in Banjar Regency. This type of research is descriptive research. The population in this study were all elementary school students in the Banjar Regency area. The sampling technique in this research is multistage cluster sampling. Calculation of sample size using hypotheses for two population proportions. The samples taken in this research were 136 students in grades I, II and III of elementary school. The results of the data obtained will be presented descriptively in the form of frequency distribution and percentage. The research results showed that the pH of the drinking water consumed by respondents was 82.4% normal, and 82.4% had high dental caries. The conclusion from this study was that the pH of the drinking water consumed by respondents was at normal pH and respondents experienced high levels of dental caries. Respondents were advised to maintain healthy teeth by reducing consumption of sweet and sticky foods and brushing their teeth in the right way and at the right time</p>Rasuna Ulfah

<p>Based on the results of a preliminary study conducted at SDN 1 Samba Kahayan in March 2023, through dental and oral examinations, 10 students showed that dental and oral hygiene (OHI-S) was 60% in the moderate category, 40% in the poor category, and 100% dental caries. . This research aims to determine the difference between counseling using Flip Chart and Booklet media on tooth brushing skills for students at SDN 1 Samba Kahayan. The type of research used is quasi-experimental research (quasi experiment) and the research design is "Control Group Pretest-Posttest". The research sample consisted of 37 people, with the sampling technique using total sampling with the independent T-Test. The results of this research show that there is a difference in counseling on how to brush your teeth using Flip Char media and Booklet media on tooth brushing skills for students at SDN 1 Samba Kahayan. to understand dental and oral health problems.</p>sardiWaljuni Astu RahmanNaning K. <p>Elementary school is 2 cempaka one of two elementary schools located suburban Banjarbaru based on and random checks for class I to VI respectively 2 people, who totaled 12 people. 10 of them had dental caries.</p> <p> The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of cariogenic snack consumtion with dental caries in fourth and fifthgrade student in elementary school 2 Cempaka Banjarbaru City.</p> <p> Based on the results of the study were 32 respondent or 50.8% in the habit of eating snacks carieogenic often, with number of dental caries, 40 respondent or 63.5%, while as many as 31 respondent (49.2 %) in the habit of rarely consumed cariogenic snack with numbers its low caries by 23 respondents or 36,5 %.</p> <p> Significan value (sig) = 0.000 and the value of alpha = 0.005 which sig<alpha (0,000< 0.005), so Ho is rejected and Ha accepted that there is a relationship between the consumption of cariogenic snacks with dental caries in fourth and fifth grade student of SDN 2 Cempaka City Banjarbaru. For dental health workers ought to maximize at puskesmas UKGS activities in order to caries can be prevented and caught early, and perform dental fillings, cavities that process does not continue, constantly improve and provide knowledge on the impac of cariogenic snacks consumed in large quantities, without regard to hygiene and health teeth and mouth and give firmness to the merchants that do not sell food that could damage the health of the teeth aroud the school, so that school snack habit can be reduced</p>Maulida YantiSiti SalamahFahmi Said

<p>A good perception of the status of good oral and dental health will be associated with a good perception of caring for teeth, with the motivation to brush teeth in children can improve dental health so as to reduce plaque and prevent gingivitis. Meanwhile, 90% of dental caries have suffered by school children worldwide, while in Indonesia 38.5% of people in Indonesia experience dental and oral health problems. From the results of a preliminary study conducted on 10 students who were given a questionnaire about knowledge of dental and oral health at Mi Al-Istiqomah, Guntung Papuyu Village, Gambut District, it was found that 6 students were still lacking and 4 students had good knowledge. With the game of snakes and ladders, it can be equipped with interesting pictures that relate to the message conveyed and writings that are not too dense related to the content of the counseling.</p> <p>The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect of counseling using the snake and ladder game on dental and oral health knowledge in third, fourth and fifth grade students at Mi Al-Istiqomah, Guntung Papuyu Village, Gambut District. This type of research is Quasi Experiment with One Group Pretest Posttest design. The study population was 103 students with a purposive sampling sample with a total of 43 students.</p> <p>Based on the results of the Paired T-Test, the value (p) is 0.000 so it is smaller than (α) = 0.05 so it can be concluded that p < , thus Ho is rejected, Ha is accepted.</p> <p>The conclusion is that there is an effect of counseling using the snake and ladder game on knowledge of dental and oral health. It is recommended that further researchers who want to research counseling using the snake and ladder game need to add a more creative modification of the snake and ladder board design to attract students' attention</p>Nor Raisya NajwaHj. <p>Elementary school children are an age group that is very critical of the occurrence of permanent dental caries. This age group is the transition period of milk teeth to permanent teeth, therefore many snacks at school with sweet foods and drinks can threaten dental health.</p> <p> The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the consumption of cariogenic-containing snacks and dental caries in children aged 8-12 years at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Istiqomah, Guntung Papuyu Village, Gambut District. This type of research is analytic observational with a cross sectional design. The population and research sample found 50 students by taking samples using the Total Sampling technique.</p> <p> The results showed that the consumption of snacks containing cariogenic in children aged 8-12 years was mostly in the less category (57.9%) and dental caries was mostly in the moderate category (54%). After being tested statistically with the Chi-Square test, the p value = 0.044 (p <0.05)</p> <p> In conclusion, there is a relationship between the consumption of cariogenic-containing snacks and dental caries in children aged 8-12 years at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Istiqomah, Guntung Papuyu Village, Gambut District. Suggestions for the need for counseling efforts regarding the consumption of good food for dental and oral health as well as fillings affected by caries and dental care that can still be functioned, so as to prevent further tooth decay.</p>Nesvy Sarida Putri

<p>One of the factors that cause high dental and oral health problems is tooth brushing behavior. Brushing behavior is influenced by knowledge about brushing teeth using the right technique or method. The media used in providing dental health education to children are video recordings and video presentations. In the video presentation, interaction with children can be carried out which can stimulate curiosity in children so that the dental health education material discussed can be well received by children.</p> <p>This study aims to determine the differences in counseling using recorded video media and video presentations on the knowledge of brushing teeth with the bass method on 13 year old students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah Martapura. This research is a quasi-experiment with a pretest posttest research design. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with a sample size of 30 students.</p> <p> The results of this study indicate that the average knowledge of using video recordings before counseling is 10.27 and after counseling is 13.00, while the average knowledge of using video presentations before counseling is 12.27 and after counseling is 13.60 based on statistical results with this test. Paired T-Test resulted in p value = 0.000 < = 0.05. <p class="s8"><span class="s6">Efforts to increase knowledge can be done with health education.</span> <span class="s6">One of the effective dental health maintenance efforts is dental and oral health counseling, especially for children, so that health education efforts to target school children are the first and main priority. The paper puppet media was chosen because the puppet game is easy to adapt in its use in elementary schools, effective</span> <span class="s6">in increasing children's knowledge and paper puppet media as well as alternative media in learning.</span></p> <p class="s9"><span class="s6">This study aims to determine the effect of using paper puppet media on dental and oral health knowledge.</span> <span class="s6">The design in this study used the One Group pretest posttestʼʼ design.</span> <span class="s6">This type of research is a quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental).</span> <span class="s6">Analyzed using Paired Sample T-Test.</span> <span class="s6">The research sample was 57 students in class IIIA and IIIB. The sampling technique used was total sampling.</span></p> <p class="s9"><span class="s6">The results of the study of dental and oral health knowledge before counseling on paper puppet media were 9.47 and after counseling 13.47.</span> <span class="s6">These results indicate a change in the value of 4. Based on the Paired Sample T-Test test, the value (p) is 0.000, so it is smaller than alpha (ɑ) = 0.05 so it can be concluded that p </span><span class="s6">< ,</span><span class="s6"> thus Ho is rejected and Ha accepted.</span></p> <p class="s9"><span class="s6">The conclusion is that there is an influence of paper puppet media counseling on dental and oral health knowledge in third grade students at MIN 14 Banjar.</span> <span class="s6">It is suggested that promotive activities need to be held, namely continuous counseling at the school in order to help students understand health, especially on dental and oral health problems.</span></p>Noviathul Anggrainidrg. <p>Online learning was carried out when the COVID-19 pandemic swept across the world, resulting in face-to-face learning being carried out by distance learning. With online learning, student learning outcomes with increasingly sophisticated technological capabilities. Online learning helps the dissemination of information is carried out directly and simultaneously, and the response is positive because it provides effective time savings in disseminating information.<br>This type of research is a quasi-experimental or quasi-experimental research with the research design used is a pre-test and post-test group. Samples taken by purposive sampling technique are 181 samples from 377 populations in the Department of Dental Nursing. The analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon test.<br>The results of this study showed a score of 0.00 (ρ<0.05). There was a significant difference in e-learning during the pandemic (COVID-19) with the learning outcomes of Diploma III Dental Health and Dental Therapy, Department of Dental Nursing.<br>Conclusion of this research. There are differences in e-learning learning during the pandemic (COVID-19) with the learning outcomes of Diploma III Dental Health and Dental Nursing Department students. It is hoped that the students of the Dental Nursing Department can maintain the learning outcomes carried out by e-learning or face-to-face.</p>Aulia Ade Afifah
